Abstract： With the intensification of the trend of heavyand inferior raw materials in the petrochemical industry，the composition of toxic and harmful substances and the technological processes are becoming more complex， and the amount ofsewage discharge is increasing. In order to promote theconstruction ofecological civilization in our country， it is imperative to treat high and low concentration VOCs exhaust gas in sewage treatment plants. In this paper，the engineering example of treating high concentration VOCs exhaust gas in sewage treatment plants bycombustion method to degrade pollutants was studied， the characteristics and currnt situation of several combustion methods in China were introduced，and through the comparisonof schemes，the practical application advantagesof treating high and low concentration exhaust gas by combustion method （RCO） were summarized，and it wasused to the actual high concentration exhaust gas treatment project in sewage treatment plants，its effct was evaluated，and the problems that need to be paid attention to in the design process and suggestions were put forward.
