Abstract: 2,5-Furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA),as a green alternative to petroleum-based aromatic monomers,has broad applicationprospects inthe fieldofbio-based materials.Itscatalyticconversion from5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) is acurrentresearch hotspot.Inthis paper,te technicalandapplication progress ofbiologicalproductionofFDCA from HMF was reviewed.Firstly,the technological basis for preparing HMFfrom biomass raw materials through hydrolysis and dehydration was outlined; then, the technical routes forcatalytic oxidation of HMF to FDCA were summarized, focusing onthe advantages of biological methods,and the principles,characteristics and research status of biological conversionroutes wereelaborated;finally,theindustrializationprocessofthis technologywasanalyzed,thecurent botlenecks such as efciency and cost as well as future breakthrough directions were pointed out,providing some reference for the technical optimizationand industrial applicationofbiologicalconversionofHMF toFDCA.
