Abstract： This article explores the problems in teaching discrete mathematics and proposes some teaching reform measures.The course teaching content has been restructured，and innovative designs and practices have been caried out in many aspects such as teaching objectives，teaching modes，teaching methods，and teaching evaluations. Introduce social hottopics and technologies through case studies.By improving teaching methods，practical teaching， andassessmentmethods，theaimistoenhance the teachingqualityofdiscretemathematics，cultivatestudents'logical thinkingandproblem-solvingabilities.Inadition，bydelvingintotheideologicalandpoliticalelementscontained in the discrete mathematics curiculum，with thegoal of cultivating students with moralcharacter，weaim tocultivate high-qualitycomposite talents withdiscernment，innovation，logical thinkingabilityandcompetitivenesforthe construction of new engineering disciplines.
