Visual Analysis of the Needs of Elderly People in Chinese Medical and Elderly CareInstitutions Based on CiteSpace

Abstract：To explore the demand characteristics and related research status of elderly people in Chinese medical and elderlycare institutions，and providea scientific basis for optimizing theelderlycare service model.Based on187 articles from China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI） from 2014 to 2024， CiteSpace software was used for bibliometric and visual analysis.Result：The anual publication volume showed a trend offirst increasing （withan average annual growth rate of 97% from 2014 to 20l8） and then decreasing， significantly driven by policies such as the "Healthy China 2030" plan outline; The distribution of core authors and institutions is scattered （network density O.0o84），and research hotspots have shifted from "aging"and "elderlycare institutions"torefned needs such as "integrated care" and"disabilityanddementia.Theresearchonthe needsofelderlypeoplein Chinesemedicalandelderlycare institutions is stillinanexploratory stage，with problemssuchasscateredresearch subjects，weak institutionalcooperation，anda disconnect between theoryand practice.In the future，it is necessary to strengthen interdisciplinarycollaboration and policy coherence，and promote the systematic and precise development of the elderly care service system.
