Abstract: Long distance natural gas pipelines are located in remote areas and cross complex terrain. Satelite communication technology,with its wide coverage and unaffected by ground facilitydamage,provides key support for emergency communication and rescue of pipelines.This article focuses on the analysis of emergency needs for longdistance natural gas pipelines and proposes the construction of an emergency communication platform to address communication challenges during emergencies,in order to provide a scientific basis for ensuring the safety of longdistance natural gas pipelines.
