Abstract:This research intends to conduct a citation analysis offoreign language literatures from7core journals of theagricultural engineering disciplineon theWebofScience (WoS)platform,soas to explore their citationcoupling and co-citation status.This article used statistical,comparative analysis,andsocial network analysis methods to analyze bibliographiccouplingand cocitation networks.Through centralityanalysis in social network analysis,core authors were identifed.Through cluster grouping,the basic knowledge structure and research frontiers of this field are explored and summarized. It finds that citation coupling is more capable of reflecting the research foundation of thedisciplinaryfield,whileclusteranalysisofco-citationnetworks is moreconducive to discoveringthelatestresearch trends.The combined comparative analysis of the two can clearly distinguish the main research entities.
