Research on Treatment Methods of Water Accumulation in Switch Machine Foundation Pit of Metro and Their Application

Abstract： As a key part of urban rail transit，the safe and eficient operation of metro systems is extremely important.Asapart ofthe metro system，wateraccumulation in the foundation pitof the switch machines not onlyaffects the normal operationoftheswitch machine，but also posesa threatto the overallsafetyof the metro system.To addressthe water accumulation isue，in the switch machine foundation pits，this paper thoroughly analyzes the contributingfactors，suchas structural leakage offoundation pitsand defects indrainagedesign.Italsosummarizes the impact of water accumulation on switch machine operation，operation safety and operation cost.The governance principle of "prevention first，comprehensive governance，strengthening maintenance and real-time monitoring" was formed，and the comprehensive governance methods of adding drainage and water collection facilities and repairing structures were proposed.Taking the water treatment project of the switch machine foundation pit in an interval of Beijing subway as an example，the waterdepth at the bottomof thefoundation pitafter treatment is continuously below the safe threshold， which verifies the effectivenessof the governance principle and scheme.
