Abstract： Generative Artificial Inteligence （AI），represented by ChatGPT and DeepSeek，has rapidly permeated various domainsin recent years.With its technical features，such as natural language procesing and multimodal content generation， Generative AI can provide innovative breakthroughs for the inteligent upgrading of library reading promotion. To advance innovation in library reading promotion， this aricle outlines the advantages and current applications of Generative AI，analyzes itsempowerment potential for key components oflibrary reading promotion including literature resources，service facilities，promoters，and target audiences，proposes model strategies of generativeAI-enpowered library reading promotion，and identifes potential problems that may befaced in theapplication of Generative AI in library reading promotion.
