Abstract:“Sketcingisaprofessoalterintefeldofpntinganditsmeainghasvriedovertie.Wheninterpretigadanlyzingitsmeaning,onecanperceivetheevolutionfrom"depictingbusinessscenes”to“paintingfromobservation”.Thistermhasabsorbedewconoaiosidifeeprodsfngahereaningtatflctstecollsionoftaditioalandmodeatlures， as wellasEastAsianandWesteatisticexchangesandideas.Tisarticlefocusesonthevolutionandinterpreatiooftepinting term“sketching”,analyzingtheoriginandtraditionalmeaningofteter,andintroducingchangesinitsodemeaningiing to popularize the changes of painting terminology arossdiferent periods from the perspectiveof term interpretation.
