Determination of Pesticide Residues in Rice by Gas Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract:This paper aims to establish arapidand accurate analytical method forthedeterminationoffive pesticide residues in rice. The samples were immersed in water and extracted with acetonitrile-acetic acid solution. After purification,they were dried with nitrogenandreconstituted.They were separated byHP-5MSchromatographic column and detected by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometer in multi-reaction monitoring mode. Method validation was carriedoutinterms of linearity,limitofdection,limitofquantification,recoveryrateand precision.Resultsshow, within theconcentration rangeof O.O05~0.50O mg/kg,the five pesticides show excellent linearity,with acorrelation coefcient exceeding 0.9977.The limits of detection and quantification are 0.000 05~0.00549 mg/kg and 0.00 16~ 0.018 32 mg/kg respectively,both of whichare lower than the limit of quantification requirements stipulated in corresponding standards.At the three spikedconcentrations of 0.05,0.10,andO.2O mg/kg,the recoveries rang from (204号 55% to 106% ,and the relative standard deviations are from 0.42% to 11.11% . In the precision test, the relative standard deviations do not exceed 18% ,and the absolute differences between the two independent measurement results meet the repeatabilitylimit requirements stipulated inthestandard.This methodfeatures simple pretreatment,sensitive detection, accurate and reliable results,and can meet the daily detection requirements for pesticide residues in rice.
