Abstract：Theconstructionof talent trainingmodeandcuriculumsystemisthetoppriorityofthedevelopmentincoleges anduniversies，andthegoaloftheconstructionofnewengineeringisalwaysthecultivationandoutputoftalents.Combining withthecurrentsituationandexistingproblemsoftalenttraininginthismajor，thispaperdiscusesthemeasurestoimprovethe talenttrainingmodeandcuriculumsystemconstruction，suchastheconstructionofinterdisciplinaryplatforms，project-based teachingdevelopmentmulti-odeexplorationofinnovationandentrepreneurship，artifcialintellgencereinforcementfor curiculumconstruction，etc.Theexplorationoftheabovemethodswillsolvetheshortcomingsofthemajor，suchasthelow degreeofinterdisciplinaryintegrationandthedisconnectionbetweethepracticelinkandtheindustryandfinallyeablethe functionalmaterialsmajortocultivatehigh-qualitycompoundtalentswithindependentlearningability，scientificresearch innovation ability and engineering practice ability to meet the requirements of new engineering.
