Abstract:Theoreticalteachinghasproblemssuchasstrongabstraction,limitedexperimentalresources,andlowstudent participation.Virtuallaboratory-asistedteachingcouldprovideanefectivesolutionpathThisstudywasbasedonthelearing engagement theoryandexploredtheimpactmechanismof studentlearning engagementon learningsatisfactionandachievement inthevirtuallaboratoryteachingofwaterqualityengineering.Basedon489questionnaires,structuralequationmodelligwas usedtoanalyzetheimpactsofcognitiveinvestment,emotionalinvestment,andlearningbehaviorinvestmentonlearningutcomes. Theresearchresultsfoundthatcognitiveengagementsignificantlyimproveslearningsatisfactionandperformancebyenhancing self-effcacyandfocus.Emotionalinvestmentenancedsatisfactionbystimulatingleaminginterestandpleasantemotions,uthad arelativelyweakimpactonacademicperformance.Inadition,behavioral investmentsimultaneouslyenhancedleaming satisfactionandachievementthroughtheinteractionofcognitiveandemotionalinvestments.Therefore,thesynergisticdevelopment ofmultidimensionalleainginvestmentasthekeytoimproveeteacingefectivenessofvirtuallaboratories.Futureteaching couldfurther exploretheapplicationofintelligenttechnologiesandpersonalizedlearning strategiesinvirtualteaching.
