—A Study on Learning Path Recommendation Strategies for Rural College and University Students from the Perspective of Social-Technical Integration

Abstract: This paper addresses the disconnect between “technical rationality” and “local context” in the application of learning path recommendation technology for cultivating rural college and university students. Drawing on social-technical systems theory, it constructs a three-dimensional analytical framework of “knowledge—technology—subject”. The study systematically analyzes the practical challenges in constructing recommendation pathways across three dimensions: knowledge representation, technical algorithms, and subjectivity assurance. It then proposes an integration pathway grounded in a “disciplinary-local” dual-core knowledge graph, supported by a multi-objective flexible recommendation algorithm, and underpinned by mechanisms for knowledge co-construction and integrated evaluation. It aims to promote a paradigm shift in learning path recommendation from standardized “technical discipline” to contextualized “subject empowerment”, providing a theoretical basis and practical reference for achieving the creative integration of “algorithmic logic” and “local wisdom”.
