Abstract: This paper argues that the Communist Party of China's self-revolution is the fundamental reason why the Party has resisted corruption and prevented degeneration, grown, and strengthened itself over its century-long struggle, and, more importantly, the key to breaking free from the historical cycle. It thus carries profound Marxist philosophical implications. As a major political practice and philosophical creation, the essence of self-revolution is a creative practice that applies the basic principles of Marxism to solve intra-Party problems and advance the Party's own development. From the perspective of materialist dialectics, self-revolution resolves intra-Party contradictions through the law of the unity of opposites, achieves reform and innovation through dialectical negation, and realizes continuous elevation through the law of the transformation of quantity into quality. From the dimension of historical materialism, it embodies the objective requirements of the movement of fundamental social contradictions, adheres to the value stance of putting the people first, and demonstrates the distinctive character of regarding practice as the primary criterion. At the epistemological level, self-revolution follows the spiral upward pattern of “practice - knowledge - practice”, upholding truth and correcting errors. From the axiological perspective, self-revolution is always oriented toward the ultimate goal of serving the people's interests and pursuing national rejuvenation. A thorough elucidation of these philosophical implications can provide theoretical support and ideological consciousness for advancing self-revolution and ensuring that the Party always remains a strong leadership core on the new journey of the new era.
