A Literature Review of the Impact of Cyberbullying on Youth Behavior

—A Sociolinguistic Analysis Based on AI Technology and Pathways for Governance

Abstract: In the context of new media, cyberbullying has emerged as a notable social problem, exerting a considerable impact on the cognition, emotions, and social behavior of youth. Based on relevant domestic and international research, this paper clearly defines the concept and characteristics of cyberbullying, revealing its diverse and covert linguistic manifestations. It then explores the role of cyberbullying in identity construction and discourse power relations, and summarizes the mechanisms through which it affects the cognitive appraisal, emotional experience, and social interaction of youth. The paper further analyzes how cyberbullying functions in identity shaping and power dynamics, thereby elucidating its mechanisms of influence on the cognitive judgments, emotional feelings, and social interactions of youth. This paper also summarizes recent governance practices, emphasizes the synergistic effect of institutionalized supervision and technological methods, and analyzes the relevant outcomes using practical cases. Existing research largely focuses on single platforms or static language materials, while cross-cultural comparison and dynamic tracking remain relatively understudied. Future research needs to further strengthen methodological integration and broaden the acquisition channels of corpora, so as to promote theoretical innovation and practical policy application.
