On the Infiltration of Red Genes into Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education from the Perspective of Cultural Identity

Abstract: This paper adopts the perspective of cultural identity to focus on the infiltration of red genes into ideological and political education in higher education. It elucidates the theoretical foundation of infiltration from three aspects: the intrinsic compatibility between red genes and cultural identity, the theoretical and practical logic that infiltration follows, and the value purport of enhancing higher education students' cultural confidence and ideals and beliefs. On this basis, four pathways are proposed: integrating into the main front of classroom teaching; carrying out red-themed activities on campus; building a communication matrix through new media; and tapping into local cultural resources.
