Abstract:ThisstudyasesedthephysiologicalresponsemechanismofPinuselitiitoearlyspringlowtemperaturestress inthecontextofglobalclimatechange.Basedonyearsof meteorologicaldata,naturallowtemperatureconditionsweresiulated, high(H),medium(M)intensityandcontrolcheck(CK)treatmentswereset,andthedynamicchangesofphysiologicalparameters duringte5-daystressproesswereanalyed.Theresultsshowedthatundershort-termhighintensitystress,non-photohemical quenchingandthemaximumphotochemicaleficiencyofPSIsignificantlyincreased,andthephotoprotectionmechanismwas rapidlyactivated;whilelong-termstressledtoadecreaseinchlorophyllacontent,anincreaseininitialfluorescence,and irreversibledamagetothephotosystem.Undermoderatestressplantscouldtemporarilymaintainsomefunctionsthroughheat dissipation,but the maximum photochemical efficiency of Ps I still decreased with time.This study provides a theoretical basis foranalyzing the mechanism of subtropical evergreen tree species coping with spring low temperatures.
