Abstract：Asoneofthenewprovisionsadded totheCivilCode，thedivorcecoling-off periodhasbeen widelydebatedand questionedbyvarioussctorsofsocietysinceispromulgation.Empiricalstudiesshowthatdomesticviolencecasesacountforasignificant proportionofdivorcedisputes.However，personalsafetyprotectionordersfaceissessuchasvagueissancestandards，weakeforeent， andtheabseneofsocialsupportsystesTheurrntdivoreclingoffpriodsystmundoubedlyincreasesthdifultyfolable groupsisafegardingtheirgts.Tissudyphasiesthatthurentdvecolingffperodsystshouldbapldstriively suchasestablishingnabsoluteexemptiomechanismfordomesticvolencecases，implementingapresumptionofindividualliabilityfor debts incureduringthispriod，andconstructingsupportingsystemsforfamilyivestigation，psychologicalcounseling，andsocial shelter.
