On the Motivations and Impacts of the Signing of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People' s Republic of Korea

Abstract：InJune 2024，Russiaand the DemocraticPeople’sRepublicof Korea（DPRK）signed the Treatyon Comprehensive StrategicPartershipetwentheRusianFederationandtheDemocaticPeople'sepublicfKrea，ichovescooperatioultiple areasandmaksthfalupgdingofiateralelatiostoquasilityliaceeotivatiofitssiggeasloist jointlycopingteaalsdipoaoai；odigicdrdoatioin to the Asianmarket and the DPRK shifting from the“Songun”（military Σ- first）policy to economic development， where agricultural and energycooperationsowssignificantpotential；hird，addressingscurityhallngesinNortheastAsia，astheSpritofCampaid strengthens militarycooperationamongtheUS，Japa，andtheROK，whiletheRussa-DPRKtreatystipulatesthatRussamayprovide militaryassistance，creatingastableenviomentforthDRK’development.Thetreatyhasprofoundimpacts：forthetocoutisit promotescooicopoalvatesdiltdacessaticsabilit；forrthstAsialoghititesiate suspicion，itsdefensivenaturecandeterprovocationsbytheUS，Japan，andtheROKandmaintainpeninsulastability；forthe internationaloderitpromotesultipolarzatioandoposuipolarhegeonyWhileitisdiulttosaketWestedated orderintheshortterm，itprovidesdiversifiedgovernancepathwaysforthe“GlobalSouth".Inthefuture，influencedbytheRusiaUkraineconflict，in-USompeitiondothrfacts，usiRKrelatiosillontietoepn，coigakblei Northeast Asia geopolitics.
