Two Morphological Forms of Address Terms in Anyang Dialect

Abstract：Asatransionaldialectbetween JinandCentralPlainsMandarin，Anyangdialectfeaturesarichmorphophonological systeminitsaddresstesToughfeldivestigationdsconiceseiptiotispperfocsesotosteaticpaeodre terms nAnyang dialect.Thefirstis“afixation”atthemorphologicallevel，manifestedbyaddingthefunctionalsufx“de” [t∘20] after personalnamesorsurames，whichservesasamorphologicalmeansforonveyingcomplexemotiosandsocialatitudessuchsintiacy familiarityotcdis“toalieao”atolcalelissergtic of“face-to-face”and“ndirectadress”troughsystematicchangesintonendslablestructure.Furthrsociolinguisticaalysisreveals significantinteenealaduaualvaratioinsefisddressfltigitsvoutioderlgagoctA comparison withneighboringJinandCentralPlinsMandarindialectshiglightsthehybridanduniquenatureofAnyangdialectasa transitionalone.TeresearchshowsthatadresstersiAyangdalectarenotmerelyalexicalphenomeonbutadepreflctioof te interactiobetweentheirmorphologicalsyntactic，pragmatic，andocialdimensions.Theseaspectstgetherconstitutethesigificant typological features that distinguish this dialect’saddress system from those of its neighbors.
