China; 2.Yunnan Fangyu Spatial Planningand Design Co.,Ltd.,Kunming,Yunnan Province,65oooo China Abstract: Earthwork engineering playsa vital role in infrastructure construction.However,traditional measurement methods are often limited by low eficiency and high environmental conditions.The Simultaneous LocalizationandMapping (LAM)technology,with itsadvantagesofhigheficiency,highprecision,andnon-contactmeasurement,provides a new solution for earthwork surveying.This research investigates the application effectivenes of handheld SLAM technology in earthwork measurement through theoretical analysis and experimental validation. Theexperimentalresults demonstrate that this technology significantlyoutperforms traditional methods in termsof measurement accuracy and efciency,especiall showing particularly strong adaptability in complex environments.
