Abstract： This article conducts research on the application of Reliability Centered Maintenance （RCM） theory in the quality and safety of aviation components.It mainly elaborates on the core concepts and industry definitions of RCM theory.Taking the AOA sensor failure event ofacertain airline B737NG aircraft as an example，it analyzes theapplication ofRCM theory in fault diagnosis，maintenancedecision-making，and technical improvement.By sorting out the event proces，troubleshooting procedures，and analyzing the reasons，the role ofRCM theory in ensuring flightsafety is revealed.It proposes suggestions such as optimizing real-time monitoring，builds adata support system，and strengthens air groundcollaboration to improve the eficiency and safety of aviation component maintenance，and supports the intelligent upgrade of the aviation maintenance system.
