Abstract: This paper investigates the group pile effect and bearing performance of GFRP-concrete composite piles for intertidal photovoltaic (PV) projects. A series of in-situ static load tests were conducted in a tidal flat area on the southeastern coast of China to systematically analyze the load-settlement characteristics and pile internal force distribution of single piles and various pile groups with different numbers and spacings. The test results indicate that GFRP-concrete composite piles exhibit excellent bearing capacity and good durability in soft tidal flat soil. The study reveals a significant influence of pile number and spacing on the group pile effect, demonstrating that the group pile effect coefficient increases with greater pile spacing. The uneven load distribution within the pile groups was also analyzed. Based on the test data, this paper establishes a multi-level bearing performance feedback mechanism and proposes predictive models for group pile bearing capacity and settlement.
