Abstract:Basedonthe659setsoficedataon5diferentkindofconductorobservedatthesiteoftheErlang Mountain Icingobservatory,thispaperanalyzesthegeneralrulesofstandardicingthicknessanddiameter,andcombinedwiththeexisting conversiomodeloficeacretion,anewcalculationformulaisproposed.Thatis,diferentcalculationformulasareselectedfor diferentstandardicingthicknessintervals.Afterverification,theabsoluteerorvaluebetwenthecalculatedthmeasuredofthis method isin the range of-2.3mm to 2.1 mm,and the maximum absolute erroris 5.5% ,which is less than the method in DL/T 5158-2021"Technicalspecificationformeteorologicalsurveyofelectricpowerengineering".Theresearchresultscanbeusedas areference for ice thickness in the differentiated design of overhead transmisson lines.
