Abstract：A surveywas conductedontherateof whitericeearcausedby Chilosuppressalisinsevenricevarieties includingYangeng-939andYanfeng-47inPanjinarea.Meanwhile，therateofwhitericeearundermeasuressuchas chemicalcontrolandricefeldcrab farmingwasalsoinvestigated.Theresultsshowedthattherateofwhitericeearof Yangeng-313wasthelowest，andtherateofYangeng-939，Yangeng-219andYangeng-927wererelativelyhighwithout chemicalintervention.Forfivevarieties，chemicalcontrolofChilosuppessliswascarriedout.Regardlessofwhether chemicalswereusedornot，therateofwhitericeearofYangeng-313wasthelowest.For theothervarieties，therateof whitericeearwassignificantlyreducedafterchemicalaplication.Ricefieldcrabfarmingandthereleaseoftrichogramma could also significantly reduce the occurrence of white rice ear caused by Chilo suppressalis.
