TheImpactMechanism of Digital Economyon Rural Revitalization

Abstract:Based on the panel dataof 3lprovincesin China(excluding Hong Kong，Macao,andTaiwanregions） from 201l to 2023，this paper conducts an empirical analysis by constructinga two-way fixed effects econometricmodel,exploringtheimpactandactionmechanismofthedigitaleconomyonruralrevitalization from theperspectiveofinformatizationlevel.Theresults showthat:First，thedigital economy canpromoteru ral revitalization,and this conclusion remains valid afterrobustness tests and endogeneity treatments. Second,theresultsofthemediationeffecttestindicatethatthedigitaleconomypromotesruralrevitalization by improving the rural informatization level.Third,heterogeneity analysis reveals that the promoting effectofthedigitaleconomyonruralrevitalizationgraduallystrengthens fromtheeasterntothewestern regions of China.
