A Study on the Role of the “King's Daughter （s’t-nswt）" in the Royal Power Structure of Ancient Egypt

Abstract：The“King’sDaughter”wasanimportantstatusstratuminancientEgypt.Byvirtueoftheirclosebloodkinshipwiththe king，theybecameasignificantcomponentoftheroyalpowertructure.Whenservingasfemalerulers，theyemphasizedtheirbloodrelationshipwiththekingtoshapethelegitimacyofroyalpolitics；theywereusuallthepreferedcandidatesfor“King’sWife（hmtnsw）”， formingasacredmarialelatioshiptatiitateddivinuioswithteingtoughmaiagials；BysevingaspriesteofHator andholdingtheeligioustitfGod'sWifeofAuneygainedpoliticalandcoomicpower，becominganiporatpartoftheig's control over the state religious system.
