Abstract：YangTiande，styledJunmei，wasaConfucianscholarregisteredinGaolingCounty，JingzhaoPrefectureduringthelateJin Dynasty.Hecaefromafmilyofclerks，anditwasonlyafterthregenerationsoffortthateobtainedtheJinshidegreeinhesecond yearof theXingdingera（1218）underEmperorXuanzngofJinAftertakingupficialposts，YangTiandesucessivelyheldthepostsf DeputyMagstratofLiaocengCountyinBozou，ClerkoftheSaiRegioalSecretariatsistantMnisteroftheCoutofJudiciale view，ChiefClerkofang’an，MagistrateofLngdeCounty，MagistrateofAnuaCountyndClerkofteSecretaratofthGandou cilHeendedhisareeastheBdgetOfieroftheanjingTransportCommssoAfterthfalloftheJinDasty，Yangadedidnot servethe MongolsandwasamodeloflyaltyandighteousnesswithintheframeworkoftraditionalChineseConfucianpolitcalethics.How ever，hisdescendantsactivelydaptedtothechangesof thetimesandeteredtheserviceoftheYuanDnastyYangTiandehadawide circleoffriendsduringhislifetie，associatingwithsholarssuchasYuanHaowen，YangXingzongWangZhongyuanYangHuanand LiTing.Atthesameime，healsomadesignificantcontributionstothedevelopmentofGuanxueduringtheJin-Yuanperiod，holdinga certain status among the scholarly circles in northern China of that time.
