Efficacy and Mechanism of Topical Growth Factor Gel Combined with Standard Dressings in Promoting the Healing of Diabetic Foot Ulcers

DepartmentofEndocrinology,People'sHospital ofDongtai,Dongtai2242Oo,Jiangsu,China [Abstract]Objective Toinvestigate theefectof topical growth factorgelcombinedwith standard dressing onthe healingof diabeticfootulcers andits efectonlocal wound microenvironmentand systemic inflammation.Methods A total of 8O patients with diabeticfotulceradmited totheDepartmentofEndocrinology,People's Hospitalof Dongtai fromJanuary 2O2O to January2O25 were selected bynon-random convenience.According to diferent treatmentmethods,the control group (40 cases)was treated with standard dressing,and the study group (4O cases)was treated with external growth factor gel combined with standard dressing.The timeof granulation tissue formation,time required for ulcer area to shrink by 50% ,microenvironment indexes of local wound [hyaluronic acid (HA),basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF)] and inflammation indexes [C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin- 1β (IL-1β)] were compared between the two groups.Results The formation time of granulation tissue and the time required for 50% reduction of ulcer area in the studygroup were shorter than those inthe control group,and the diferences were statisticallysignificant (all P
