Effect of Individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy on Blood Glucose Fluctuation and Lipid Metabolism Indexes in Patientswith Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Department ofObstetrics and Gynecology，Zhenning CountyPeople's Hospital，Anshun 561200，Guizhou，China [Abstract]ObjectiveToinvestigatetheefectof individualizedmedical nutritiontherapy（IMNT）onbloodglucose fluctuationand lipid metabolism inpatients with gestational diabetes melitus（GDM）.MethodsAtotalof1O patients withGDM who weredocumentedand diagnosed in Zhenning CountyPeople'sHospital from January2024 to June 2025 were selected and divided intotwo groups accordingto different treatment methods，with 5O cases ineach group. The control group was given routine nutritional therapy，andthe observation group was given IMNT.From treatment to delivery，the blood glucose index and fluctuation，lipid metabolism index andadverse pregnancyoutcome were compared between the two groups.Results Before delivery，the levels of fasting plasma glucose，2-hour postprandial plasma glucose，total cholesterol，triglyceride，low-density lipoprotein cholesterolandthe incidenceofadverse pregnancy outcomes in theobservation group were lower than those inthecontrol group，the largest amplitudeof glucose excursion and meanamplitudeof glucose excursion weresmallr，andthediffrences werestatisticallysignificant （all P <0.05）.Conclusion IMNTcan effectivelyreduce the blood glucoselevel ofGDMpatients，avoidabnormalblood glucose fluctuations，improve lipid metabolism，and reduce the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
