[Abstract]ObjectiveTo exploretheeficacyandadversereactionsof sodium-glucose cotransporter2（SGLT2）inhibitors combined withmetformin inthe treatmentof type2diabetes melitus.MethodsAtotalof90patients with type 2 diabetes who wereadmited tothe TengzhouDongshaheCommunity Health Service Center from June2O22 toOctober 2025 were selectedby non-randomconvenience.According todiffrent treatment methods，they were divided into two groups，45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with metformin，and the observation group was treated with SGLT2 inhibitoronthebasis of metformin.Theblood glucose index，body massindex，renalfunctionand safety werecompared.ResultsAfter treatment，comparedwith thecontrol group，the2-hour postprandialblood glucose，fasting blood glucose，glycatedhemoglobinAlc levelsand body massindexintheobservation group werelower，and the differences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.After treatment， compared with the control group，the levels of creatinine，urinary β2-microglobulinand cystatin Cin theobservation group were lower，and the glomerularfiltration rate was higher， the differences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）. There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups（ P> 0.05）.Conclusion In the treatment of type2 diabetes mellitus，SGLT2 inhibitors combined with metformin are effectiveand safe，which can improve renalfunctionand reduce blood glucose levels.
