TheEffect of Feedback Health Education Model on Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Periodontitis

DepartmentofStomatology,theSouthern TheaterCommandGeneral Hospital,Guangzhou51Ool0,Guangdong,China [Abstract] Objective To explore theapplicationefectoffeedback health educationmodelinpatients with diabetes melitus complicated with periodontitis.Methods Sixty patientswith diabetesmelitus complicatedwith periodontitis who visitedtheSouthernTheaterCommandGeneralHospitalfromJanuary2023toJanuary2O25were seletedanddivided into a control group ( n =30)and an observation group ( n =30) based on different nursing methods.The control group received conventional nursing mode,while theobservation group received feedback health education model. The compliance,health behaviors,andblood glucoselevelsof thepatientsbeforeandafter the intervention werecomparedasthe indicatorsofthisstudy.Results There werenostatisticallsignificantdiferences inthe8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale,health behaviors,and blood glucose levels between the two groups before theintervention (all P>0.05 ).After the intervention,the 8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scaleand health behavior scores of the observation group were higher than those ofthe control group,and thefasting blood glucoseand 2-hour postprandial blood glucoselevels werelower than thoseof thecontrol group,andthediferences were statisticallsignificant (all P<0.05 ).Conclusion Compared with the conventional nursing mode,the feedback health education model hasabetter efectonimproving the compliance,enhancinghealth behaviors,and stabilizing blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with periodontitis.
