Efficacy of Comprehensive Perioperative Nursing for Diabetic Retinopathy Patients Undergoing Ophthalmic Surgery

DepartmentofOphthalmology，XiamenUniversityAfiliatedZhongshanHospital，Xiamen36ooo，Fujian，China [Abstract] Objective To explore the effectof comprehensive nursing program on the therapeutic outcome in diabetic retinopathy patients before and after ophthalmic surgery.Methods Atotalof 9O diabetic retinopathy patients undergoing ophthalmicsurgeryadmittedto Xiamen UniversityAfliated Zhongshan Hospital fromMay 2O23 to May 2024 werenon-random convenientlyselected.According todiferent nursing methods，theyweredivided into thecontrol groupand the observation group，with 45cases ineach group.The control group received routine nursing care，while the observation group implemented acomprehensive nursing program on the basis of thecontrol group.The postoperativecomplicationrate，blood glucose indexes and psychological status were compared between the two groups.Results Afternursing，the scoresofSelf-rating Anxiety Scaleand Self-rating Depression Scaleinboth groupswerelower than thosebefore nursing，andthe scores in theobservation group werelowerthan those inthecontrol group，and the differenceswere statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.The postoperative complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group，and the difference was statistically significant （ P<0.05 ）.After nursing，the levels of 2- （204号 hour postprandial blood glucoseand glycated hemoglobin Alc in both groupswere lower than those before nursing， and thelevels intheobservation group werelower than those inthecontrol group，andthe differences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.Conclusion The comprehensive nursing program exerts a positive effect on the perioperativenursing of diabeticretinopathy patientsundergoing ophthalmicsurgery.Itcanefectively improve blood glucose indexes，reduce the risk of postoperative complicationsand enhance the mental health status of patients.
