The Value of C-reactive Protein Combined with Blood Glucose Test in Diabetic Patients

Department of Laboratory，Zhangping Hospital， Zhangping 3644Oo，Fujian， China [Abstract] Objective To analyze the value of C-reactive protein （CRP）combined with blood glucose test in the examination of diabetic patients.Methods The clinical dataof 122 diabetic patients in Zhangping Hospital from January 2024 to May 2025 were retrospectively selected as thestudy group，and the clinical dataof 122 healthysubjects in the same periodwere selectedas thecontrol group.The levels of glycated hemoglobinAlc，fasting plasma glucoseand CRP were compared between the two groups，and thediagnostic eficacyofcombineddetectionof three indicators was analyzed.Results The CRP level of the study group was （15.94±1.52） mg/L，the glycated hemoglobin A1c level was （9.52±1.67）%，andthe fasting plasmaglucose level was（8.93±1.26）mmol/L，which were higherthanthoseof thecontrol group [（8.76±0.39） mg/L， （3.52±1.36）% ，（4.89±1.22） mmol/L]，the differences were statistically significant （ t= 50.538，23.434， 10.532; all P<0.05 ）.The sensitivity，specificity and accuracy of the combined detection of the three indexeswere higher than those of CRP+glycated hemoglobinAlcand CRP+fasting plasma glucose，and thedifferences were statistically significant （all P <0.05）.Conclusion CRP combined with blood glucose test improves the comprehensiveness and accuracy of disease assssment by integrating metabolic indicators and inflammatory markers，and has high clinical application value.
