, , 3628O1,, [Abstract]ObjectiveToexploretheapplicationeffectacarbosecombinedwithmetformininthetreatmentdiabetes mellitus.Methods FromFebruary 2024 toFebruary2025,114patients with type2diabetesmelitus (T2DM)admitedto wereconvenientlyselectedas theresearchobjects.According todiferent treatmentmethods,they were divided intocontrol group(57cases,metformin)andobservationgroup(57cases,metformin combined withacarbose).The immune function,islet function,oxidative stress and adverse reactions during medication werecompared between the two groups beforeand after medication.Results After3 months treatment,the positiverates glutamicacid decarboxylaseantibodyand isletcellantibody in theobservation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P <0.05).After 3 months treatment, the fasting insulin and insulin resistance index the observation group were lower than those the control group, and the islet β cell function index was higher than that the control group,the diffrences were statistically significant (all P <0.05).After treatment, malondialdehyde and lipid hydrogen peroxide in the observation group were lower than those in thecontrol group,superoxidedismutaseand total antioxidantcapacity were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05 ).There were 3 cases adverse reactions in the control groupand5cases in theobservation group during the3 months medication,andthe diffrence was not statisticallysignificant( χ2 =0.134, P =0.714).Conclusion therapy with acarbose and metformin effectively improvesimmune function,reduces oxidative stress,and enhances pancreatic islet function in T2DMpatients without increasing adverse event risk.
