Efficacy of Flexible Ureteroscope with Negative Pressure Sheath in the Treatment of Infectious Nephrolithiasis Complicated with Diabetes Mellitus

Departmentof Urology,Xianyou County General Hospital ofFujian Province,Putian3512Oo,Fujian,Chian [Abstract] ObjectiveTo investigate theclinical eficacy offlexibleureteroscope with negative pressure sheath in the treatmentof infectious nephrolithiasis complicated with diabetes melitus.Methods A total of88 patients with infectious nephrolithiasiscomplicated withdiabetes melltusadmited to Xianyou General HospitalofFujianProvince from January to December 2O24 wereconvenientlyselected.Accordingto diferent treatment methods,theywere divided into thecontrol group(44cases,blood glucosecontrolcombined withconventional flexibleureteroscopy）and theobservationgroup (44cases,blood glucose control combined with flexible ureteroscopy with negative pressure sheath). The surgery-related indicators,fasting bloodglucose level,stone clearancerate,complicationrateanddisease recurrencerate were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the intraoperative blood loss in theobservation group was lessthan thatin the control group,the intraoperative renal pelvic pressure was lower than that inthe control group,and the operation time and hospital stay were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P 0.05).The immediate stone clearance rate and 1-month stone clearancerateintheobservationgroup were higherthan those inthecontrol group,andthediferences were statisticallysignificant (all P 2 =5.043,P=O.O25).ConclusionFor patients with infectious nephrolithiasis complicated with diabetes melitus,the application offlexible ureteroscope with negative pressre sheath achieves favorable eficacy.It helps optimize surgical indicators,exerts nosignificant efectonblood glucose level,andhas theadvantages ofhigh stone clearancerate, reduced complication rate and controlled recurrence rate.
