Analysis of Discipline Competitiveness Based on ESl and InCitesData Case Computer Science Discipline of Wuhan Institute of Technology

Abstract: The "Double First-Class"initiative prioritizes discipline.To secure development resources,universities must focus on their disciplines and continuously enhance core competitiveness.This study conducts a disciplinary competitiveness analysis using ESI and InCites data,focusing on the Computer Science discipline ofWuhan Institute of Technology. It performs benchmarking against eight provincial universities in Hubei by examining indicators including discipline rankings,publication volume,citationcounts,numberof highly cited papers,author distribution,and institutional collboration extractedfromESIand InCites databases.The analysis evaluates the current disciplinary competitivenessof eachuniversity,and proposes development strategies for Wuhan Institute of Technology's Computer Science discipline based on this basis.
