Abstract：Thispaper isaboutthesecondarydevelopmentworkof the CASS2O17softwaresymbol library.Firstly，thispaper introducesthenecessaryperformanceoftheCASSsoftwareandthesignificanceofthesymbollibraryThen，thesecondary developmentprogramiselaborated，includingtheinterpretationandrewringmethodsoftheoriginalsymbollibraryaswellas themethodsforcreatingsymbollibrariesinpracticalneds.Inthemainpartofthearticle，itisemphasizedthatthenew symbollibrarycanbebeterloadedintothe CASSsoftware，makingitmorecompleteandimprovingtheuser experience. Throughexperimentsitcanbesenthatsecondarydevelopmentofsoftwareisefectiveinimprovingfunctionalityandenhancing userexperience.Finall，prospectsweremadeforfutureresearch directionsasregardshowtofurtherimprovetheuseof symbol libraries and how to use the research results to analyze and process other GIS software.
