Production analysis of key monitored aquaculture species in Hebei Province（2025） *

Abstract：In 2O25，Hebei Province continued to undertake the monitoring project for key aquaculture species，primarily focusing on the production of Ctenopharyngodon idella ，Hypophthalmichthys molitrix， Hypophthalmichthys nobilis，Cyprinus carpio， Carassius auratus， Micropterus salmoides ，as well as marine and freshwater cultured Litopenaeus vannamei. The project also analyzed and forecasted the production trends of the monitoring data，the supply of major monitored species in the province was suficient in 2025，with stable pond turnover and slightly declining income.Due to significant carryover stock from the end of 2O24，prices for the main cultured species，Cyprinus carpio，at monitoring sites generally declined，while Ctenopharyngodon idella prices remained at a relatively high level. Influenced by market downturns，prices for both marine and freshwater cultured Litopenaeus vannamei decreased compared to 2024. Due to an increase in monitoring area from site changes， the quantity of stocked freshwater fish fingerlings increased. Consequently，the carryover stock and stock overhang of bulk freshwater fish increased at the end of the year. The stocking volume of Litopenaeus vannamei post-larvae remained stable with a slight decline，total output showed a clear increasing trend. It is predicted that the production scale of bulk freshwater fish in the province will remain stable in 2O26. However，due to the large carryover stock，the potential for price increases in spring is limited. Meanwhile，the factory farming of Litopenaeus vannamei is expected to maintain favorable market prospects.
