Abstract:To investigate the effects of alicin on the physiology of Penaeus japonicus post-larval under high dissolved oxygen conditions,a 42-day feeding trial was conducted in an aquatic environment with a dissolved oxygen concentration of 13.6mg/L . The Penaeus japonicus post-larvae were fed basal diets supplemented with 0% (control group), 0.2% , 0.4% ,and 0.6% allicin. The results showed that, compared with the control group, appropriate allicin supplementation significantly increased the weight gain rate, specific growth rate, and survival rate of the post-larvae ( ⋅P<0. 05 ), with the 0.4% group achieving the highest values. Regarding antioxidant and immune indicators, the activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, and lysozyme in all allicin一supplemented groups were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the malondialdehyde content was significantly reduced ( P<0.05 ). These indicators reached optimal levels in the 0.4% group but were inhibited to some extent in the 0.6% group. In conclusion, allicin significantly promotes the growth and enhances the antioxidant and immune functions of Penaeus japonicus post-larval in a high dissolved oxygen environment, with 0.4% being the optimal supplemental level.
