Application of rapid water quality monitoring technology in aquaculture

Abstract:Addressing the need for real-time water quality monitoring in aquaculture along the Zhangye section of the Heihe River,this study systematically investigates the principles and characteristics of rapid monitoring technologies including electrochemical sensors,photometric methods,biosensors,and IoT based online monitoring. Through routine monitoring in typical aquaculture zones,the dissolved oxygen fluorescence method demonstrated an average relative error of 2.3% ,while the azide coupling method for nitrite showed a relative error within ±4.6% , both meeting aquaculture water quality monitoring requirements. High一frequency data revealed diurnal fluctuations in disolved oxygen and seasonal patterns of ammonia nitrogen, enabling the establishment of a closed—loop“monitoring一diagnosis一regulation” management model. Application demonstrated that rapid monitoring technologies achieve water quality early warning and precise regulation. Demonstration ponds saw a 25% reduction in fish disease incidence,an 8%+ increase in survival rates, over 90% improvement in monitoring efficiency,and approximately 60% cost reduction,providing technical support for regional green fishery development.
