Effects of heavy metal pollution on growth,reproduction and physiological function of marine microalgae

Abstract:Marine microalgae,as primary producers in marine ecosystems,play a crucial role in material cycling and environmental monitoring. To systematically evaluate the toxic effects of heavy metal pollution on microalgae, this paper reviews the relevant domestic research progress. The paper analyzes the physiological and biochemical responses of marine microalgae under heavy metal stressfrom aspects such as biomass, photosynthetic pigment content, photosynthetic rate,antioxidant system,and lipid content; explores the differential impacts of heavy metal concentrations,and summarizes the detoxification mechanisms of microalgae against heavy metals. Future research should be conducted by combining big data technology with bioinformatics,providing scientific basis for marine environmental governance and sustainable development.
