Visualization Analysis of Machine Learning Based on CiteSpace in the Study of Diabetic Retinopathy

1.Xiangya Schoolof Nursing,Central South UniversityChangsha 410o11,Hunan,China;2.Departmentof Clinical Nursing Science,the SecondXiangyaHospitalofCentral South University,Changsha41Oo11,Hunan,China [Abstract]Objective Through theCiteSpacevisualizationanalysis of machine learning (ML)inthe studyof diabetic retinopathy (DR)research status and trends,to provide reference for further research in this field.Methods This paperretrieved therelevant literatures included inthe core collection databases such as CNKI,Wanfang,Pubmed and Webof Sciencefromtheestablishmentof thedatabase to January1Oth,2026,andused CiteSpace6.4.R1software to visually analyzetheauthors,institutions,keywordsandburst words.ResultsA totalof 598Chinesearticlesand 531 Englisharticles were included.Theresearch literatureon theapplicationof MLinDRatChinaandabroad is generall increasing,and thekeywordsintheresearchinvolveawiderangeofcontent.Theresearchontheapplicationof ML inDRhasgraduallyatractedtheattentionofscholarsat Chinaandabroad.Therelatedresearch mainly focuses on deep leamning,image clasification,machine learning,transfer learning and soon.Comparative learning,image analysis,nomogram,DR gradingand predictionmodelare the research hotspotsandtrends inthis field.Conclusion In the future,eforts should bemade to strengthenmulti-centercollaborationanddatasharing,drawing onadvanced foreignalgorithmsandcollaborative experiences;tooptimize models through technologies suchas federated learning and self-supervised learning;and to enhance the theoretical training of medical personnel in machine learning,promoting intelligent and precise development of DR screening,diagnosis,and treatment.
