Application Value of Supervised Early-warning Care in Patients with DiabetesMellitus Combined with Severe Pneumonia

HUANGXiaolu，CHENMinxia，LIUJiamin Quanzhou First Hospital Geriatric Branch，Quanzhou 362Ooo，Fujian，China [Abstract]Objective To explore the application efectofsupervised early warningcare in patients with diabetes mellituscombined with severe pneumonia.Methods A total of9O patients with diabetes melitus complicated with severe pneumonia who were admited tothe Quanzhou First Hospital Geriatric Branch from January 2O23 to December 2024 wereconvenientlyselected.According to diferent nursing methods，they were divided into control group （45cases， implemented routine nursing mode）and the observation group （45 cases，implementedthe supervision and early warning nursing mode）.Theblood glucoselevel，bodyrecoveryandcomplicationrate werecompared.ResultsAfterintervention，thefastingblood glucose，2-hourpostprandial blood glucose，glycated hemoglobinA1c levelsandtheincidence ofcomplications inthe observation group were lower than those in thecontrol group，and the diferences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.Afterintervention，the blood oxygen saturation level of the observation group [（96.12±2.35） % ] was higher than that of the control group [（94.25±2.41 % ]，and the mechanical ventilation time [（5.36±1.35）d]wasshorterthanthatof thecontrol group[6.571.42）d]，thediffrences were statisticallysignificant （t=3.727，4.143; all P <0.05）.Conclusion Supervision and early warning care can improve the blood glucose level，improve blood oxygen saturation，shorten the timeof mechanicalventilation，andreduce the incidence of complications inpatients with diabetes mellitus and severe pneumonia.
