Effect of Huopu Xialing Decoction Combined with Dapagliflozin on Blood GlucoseLevelsin Obese Patientswith Type2Diabetes

[Abstract]ObjectiveTo investigate the effectof Huopu Xialing Decoctionand dapagliflozinonblood glucose level in obesepatients with type2diabetes.MethodsFromJanuary 2022 toJanuary 2025，atotalof 60obese patients with type2diabeteswere selected in the Department of Endocrinology，Baoying County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine，Jiangsu Province，and they were divided into control groupand observation group according to different treatment methods，3O cases ineach group.The control group was treated with dapagliflozin，and theobservation group was treated with Huopu Xialing Decoctioncombined with dapagliflozin.Theblood glucose level，blood lipid level，obesity parametersand adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment，the levelsof fasting plasma glucose，2-hour postprandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobinAlcintheobservation group were lowerthan those in thecontrol group，andthe diferences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.After treatment，the triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol inthe observation group were lower than those inthecontrol group，and the high densitylipoprotein cholesterol was higher than that in the control group，the diferences were statistically significant （all P <0.05）.After treatment，the body mass index，body fatrate，waist-to-hipratioand visceralfat index of theobservation group were lowerthan thoseof thecontrolgroup， and the differences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.Theincidence of adverse reactionsin the observation group was lower than that in the control group，and there was no significant diference between the two groups （ P>

0.05）.Conclusion Thecombination of Huopu Xialing Decoctionand dapagliflozin inobesepatients with type2 diabetes canimprovetheblood glucoseand bloodlipidlevelsof patients，reducetheobesityparametersof patientsand will not significantly increase adverse reactions.
