Role of Combined Detection of Serum C-peptide and Glycated HemoglobinA1cin theDiagnosisofDiabetesMellitus
LIXiaofeng,LIShufang,YOUZongtao Department of Clinical Laboratory, Zhangping Hospital, Zhangping 3644Oo, Fujian,China [Abstract] Objective To analyze theroleof combined detection of serum C-peptideand glycated hemoglobin Alc in thediagnosisof diabetes melitus.Methods A total of118 patients with suspecteddiabetes melitusadmitted to Zhangping Hospital from January 2024 to May 2025 were conveniently selected asresearch subjects.Allpatients underwentserum C-peptide detection,glycated hemoglobin Alc detection and oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).Taking the resultsofOGTTasthegold standard,the test effctand diagnosticeficacy were statisticallyanalyzed.Results Oral glucose tolerance test was detected in 64 cases positive and 54 cases negative.There were 41 true positive cases of serum C-peptidedetection,43 true positivecasesof glycated hemoglobinA1c detection,and 63 true positive cases of combined detection.Thediagnostic eficacy of combined detectionof serum C-peptide and glycated hemoglobin Alc were higher than those of single detection,and the diferences were statistically significant (all P <0.05). Conclusion The sensitivity,specificityand accuracyof combined detection of serum C-peptide and glycated hemoglobinAlcarehigherthanthoseof singledetection,which canbeusedasanimportantauxiliarydetectionmethod for early diagnosis and disease classification of diabetes mellitus.
