A Comparative Studyon the Color Structureof Blue-Green Landscape Paintingsinthe Central Plains and Dunhuang during the Sui and Tang Dynasties

Abstract: This study examines the colorrepresentation in Dunhuang murals and Central Plains blue-gree landscape painting landscapes during the Suiand Tang dynasties.Through a multi-layeredcomparisonofform,technique,and function,it systematicallanalyzes diferencesincolorstructure,spatiallogic,andcreativecontextbetweenthetwoReseachreveals that CentralPlainsbluegreenlandsapespursudadealednaturalodeandestheticutonoyexibingaosedfolacolor structure.Incontrast,bluegreenelementsinDunuang muralsservedreigious narrtivesandvisualedifcationdemosating anopen,flexiblecontextual expression.Buildingonthis,thestudyfurtherarguesthatDunuang'sadaptationofCentrallains blue-green forms wasnotpassiveimitationbutaprocessoflocalized "functional reconstruction,"dmonstrating thesubjectivity andcreativityofthereceivingculture incross-culturalartistictransmission.Thisresearch providesaconcretecasestudyfor understandingthediverseinteractions withinSui-Tangpaintingandofersmethodologicalinsightsforreflectingontheoriesof artistic transmission.
