Abstract：ThecostumecolorsinDunhuang muralscaryimportanthstoricalandculturalinformation，yetlong-termweathering andhumaninterventionhavecausedseverecolordistortion，makingscientificrestorationanurgenttask.Thispaper，basedon visible spectral analysis，sorts out the visual characteristics ofDunhuang costume images and thecommonly used pigments， analyzes theirdeteriorationpathwaysandcoresponding spectralvariationmechansms，andproposesafeasiblecolorestoration framework grounded in precise sampling anddata modeling.Taking representativecases fromthe Mogao Grottoesas examples， the paperclarifies the multipleobjectivesofcolorrestoration，seeksabalancebetween“materialauthenticity”and“visual authenticity，andestablshsamultchemeandnterpretable mechanism，soastoprovidemethodologicalsupportandpractical reference for the digital reproduction and cultural interpretation of Dunhuang costume colors.
