Abstract: With the rapid development of the modern power industry, the demand for power generation equipment is increasing daily. As a key heat exchange device, the condenser plays a vital role in ensuring the operational reliability of the unit. This paper provides a preliminary discussion on the current state of condenser tube-to-tubesheet welding technology. It outlines the basic principles, common methods, and operational characteristics of tube-to-tubesheet welding, offering a systematic theoretical understanding of current practices, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, brazing, and fully automated welding technology. Furthermore, it analyzes typical problems existing in current tube-sheet welding, such as tube deformation, leakage, and non-compliant length, and discusses the application of corresponding quality inspection measures, including nondestructive testing and hydrostatic testing. Finally, factors affecting welding quality are examined, covering environment, materials, operational procedures, and personnel management.
