Abstract: Factors affecting the flowability of high-wax crude oil mainly include crude oil composition and chemical properties, temperature and thermodynamic conditions, flow state and shear effects. These factors alter the flowability of high-wax crude oil by influencing its freezing point, viscosity-temperature characteristics, gelation properties, yield behavior, wax deposition, and micro-morphology. In the face of challenges from energy transition and technological progress, future research on enhancing crude oil flowability will focus on green environmental protection, intelligence, high efficiency, and the integration of interdisciplinary technologies. It will be dedicated to technological innovation while reducing the environmental burden, lowering the costs of crude oil transportation and processing, to achieve a win-win situation for economic and environmental benefits.
